Tunbridge Wells’ foodies and francophones turned out to celebrate the launch of Fromage & French, a new French speciality shop selling cheese and all things French in the old High Street. The owners, Gaëlle Coyle and Belinda Raitt, hope to transform the lower end of town into an independent food shopper’s heaven, bringing a taste of France to the High Street, sourcing their produce from smaller, independent suppliers where possible. The shop will mainly stock French cheeses, alongside some charcuterie, French mustards, conserves, confit de canard, French wines, biscuits and chocolate and a selection of other French foodstuffs and gifts for cheese lovers.
