An evening of style with Sophie Carson (07592 506609), The Clever Dresser based in Penshurst, took place at Tunbridge Wells vintage boutique and dress agency Love Is. Hosted by owner Paula Fry and her team, a select group of fashion-loving ladies got the benefit of the renowned personal stylists advice as they tried on an array of outfits and jewellery in the Church Road shop, ranging from 1940s dresses to designer coats, sustained by fizz and canaps.

Love Is (01892 549665) will be at Magpies Fabulous Vintage Fair, taking place at David Salomons, Southborough on 9 March, from 6pm. See Kent Lifes April Style Guide for an interview with Paula Fry, who starts a monthly fashion and style column from our May edition, talking about trends, shapes, styles and where to shop locally for to die for fashion.
