More than 80 people attended an event held at Hever Castle to celebrate 30 years of care to the community by Hospice in the Weald.

Guests arrived on a wonderful summer's evening to the sounds of Tudor music performed by minstrels in traditional dress and enjoyed drinks together on the lawn by The Astor Wing. The evening, sponsored by Handelsbanken Tunbridge Wells, included talks by Jonathan Bryant, Chairman of Trustees, John Ashelford, ceo and Bella Halfhide, a relative supported by the charity. Bella (Kent Life's June Bright Young Thing) spoke about how Hospice in the Weald helped her and her family when her mother died last year. She is fast becoming an ambassador for the charity and is helping to inform a younger audience about the vital work the Hospice does. Nick Green, of Handelsbanken in Tunbridge Wells, said: "We were delighted to sponsor the evening supporting a local charity with relevance to the whole community."

If you were also at the Hever Castle to celebrate the Hospice in the Weald then we would very much like you to add your photos of the day to this page.
