Red 8, Hospice in the Wealds very first black tie corporate dinner, raised a fantastic 20,882 for the charity.

The event, which took place at The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells, attracted 170 guests from the local business community and was sponsored by Heartwood Wealth Management and Tonbridge-based Brolley.

Guests were welcomed by Rob Woolley, ceo of Hospice in the Weald, who introduced a short film created for the Hospice by Tim Edmunds, the Bafta award-winning childrens TV producer.

Guests were entertained by MC Scott Charlton and Henry Blowers Blofeld, but the star of the evening was the real Red 8, aka Flight Lieutenant Dave Davies, a member of the Red Arrows. He explained how the team is one of the key recruitment tools for the MoD and for promoting Britain and the quality of its defence industry.

A raffle and auction further boosted funds.
