Prue Leith, founder of Leith's, the caterer for Penshurst Place since 2003, officially re-opened its newly refurbished Garden Tea Room.

Prue Leith, founder of Leiths, the caterer for Penshurst Place since 2003, officially re-opened its newly refurbished Garden Tea Room. An agreement was then signed between Produced in Kent and Leiths, the latter expressing a future commitment to use local Kentish producers at the tea room. The agreement, the first of its kind for PinK, reflects Leiths commitment to supporting local farmers, growers and producers as part of its parent company, Compass Group UK & Irelands Truly British, Truly Local sourcing initiative, under which the caterer enables its clients, including Penshurst Place, to sell produce from suppliers located within 50 miles of the site under its Truly Local brand. So look out for Speldhurst Sausages, Core Apple Juice and Solleys Ice Cream in the Garden Tea Room.
