On 28th - 29th of may, intu Bromley kicks off half term with a Block Building Bonanza
On Sunday 29th May, 1.00pm – 2.00pm, intu Bromley will be inviting block building fans to see the official unveiling of an amazing Time Machine made completely from LEGO® bricks and guaranteed to be out of this world. The replica is an homage to the novel ‘The Time Machine’ by Bromley’s very own author H.G. Wells, who pioneered the science fiction genre in the 1900s. The launch of the brick built Time Machine is right on time as this year marks the 150th anniversary of H.G. Wells’ birth in Bromley.
‘We commissioned this unique installation to celebrate one of Bromley’s most famous residents, the visionary H.G. Wells’ says Craig Higgins, marketing manager at intu Bromley. ‘The model is hand made by Bright Bricks, the professional LEGO® building company, and will become a permanent installation free for everyone to enjoy.’
To celebrate the arrival of the Time Machine, intu Bromley is hosting a Block Building Bonanza, a weekend of fantastic, free, fun activities for families and children to enjoy.
