Countess hosts 67th East Kent Ploughing Match Social Event from Kent Life

The Countess Sondes hosted a record-breaking East Kent Ploughing Match at the Lees Court Estate. With the theme a sustainable model for the countryside, the 67th event gave visitors a look behind the scenes at one of the UKs most forward-thinking estates and was one of the biggest ever weekday ploughing matches, with more than 4,200 people attending.

Lady Sondes, who also welcomed local schoolchildren in the Lees Court Estate marquee, said. The Ploughing Match represents one of the last great agricultural farming events in the rural social calendar. Weve had everything from horse-drawn ploughs and state-of-the-art farming machinery to stalls selling oysters and cupcakes.
