The best PR teams in Kent, Sussex and Surrey were honoured at the 2009 PRide (Home Counties South) Awards.

The best PR teams in Kent, Sussex and Surrey were honoured at the 2009 PRide (Home Counties South) Awards held at the Hilton Metropole in Brighton. Chairman Caraline Brown said that the past year had been a tough one for the PR industry but that the standard of entries had been extremely high and in times of recession, winning an award can really make a difference. Categories ranged from best campaign 10K and under to best event and outstanding young communicator. Kent Fire & Rescue Service won the Crisis Communications award for its coverage of the Channel Tunnel blaze, while editor Sarah Sturt was delighted to be able to present the Community Relations award to Kent County Council for its Fight Flytipping campaign.
