More than £6,000 was raised at The Pickering Cancer Drop-in Centre's annual charity ball, held at the Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells.

In attendance were outgoing Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Cllr Barbara Cobbold, plus supporters of the centre, including the Town and Country Housing Association and PPP/AXA.

Fundraising included an auction at which magician Robert Pound and Magnus the Masseur auctioned themselves for lessons and party nights.

The centre operates from Tunbridge Wells and is open every Tuesday and Friday, 10am to 4pm. Run by volunteers, it welcomes anyone touched by cancer and provides support, advice, counselling and complementary therapies, all free of charge.
