There will be something for everyone during Coastal Week, with a packed programme of events celebrating Kents historic coast during half term, from Saturday 27 October to Sunday 4 November. More than 50 events are taking place right round Kents world-renowned coast line, with everything from guided walks, talks and archaeological find days to exhibitions and fun days.
The week kicks off with a freeHistoric Coast at Ramsgate event where visitors can meet the people who look after the countys coastal heritage. There will be stalls and activities outside Custom House, next to Ramsgate Royal Harbour from 10am 4pm on Sunday 28 October.
On Saturday 27 military history events will take place on the Hoo Peninsula, there will be guided walks on the White Cliffs throughout the week, the Forgotten Frontline exhibition at Whitstable Castle and a host of events on board a lightship moored of Gillingham Pier (LV21).
