For your last chance to win some fantastic prizes as the best amateur garden and best primary school garden in Kent, get your entries in by 17 June for Kent Lifes garden competition, supported by Hadlow College and Ruxley Manor Garden Centre
Garden of the Year
Open to amateur, private home gardeners only large or small gardens. Our overall winner will receive a pictorial feature in Kent Life and a subscription to the magazine, plus an engraved bench and 250 garden vouchers, courtesy of Ruxley Manor Garden Centre. Four runners-up will receive a certificate, 100 of Ruxley Manor Garden Centre vouchers and a subscription to Kent Life.
Best Primary School Garden
Open to all primary schools in Kent with a garden that is actively run
and maintained by the children and put to good educational use within the curriculum. Prizes as above, with one winner and two runners up.
Your entry
Send in by post or email or enter online up to six high-resolution colour photos of your garden or school garden to give a general impression of the garden, views from different angles, before and after pictures if available, and include some favourite places in the garden. Send also a brief description of your garden, its challenges, special features, location and size and what it means to you. Also a sketch plan if possible showing beds, landscaping, features to help judges see its overall structure.
Rules of voting
All finalists gardens in both categories will be photographed by Kent Life
by 4 July. Kent Life regrets that photographs and sketches cannot be returned, and by submitting your photos and sketches you are agreeing to their use in Kent Life and its associated website and publications.
