Q: Why choose live-in care?

A: Live-in care allows families and couples to stay together, remain in their homes, and maintain their routine. Customers can control the support they receive and when, allowing them more freedom and autonomy.

We can provide one-to-one care 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week. If your loved one lives alone, you can rest easy knowing they are safe and well supported.

Q: How does it work?

A: A dedicated live-in carer will move in with your loved one to offer round-the-clock care and support. We closely match carers to each customer based on their personality and interests.

It’s not always easy to invite someone new into your home, which is why all our assistants have been carefully chosen for their experience, skills, compassion and empathy. All employees are recruited locally and are DBS checked before joining the My Life team.

Q: What services can a live-in carer provide?

A: Carers can offer companionship, help arrange social outings, accompany your loved one on day trips and run errands like grocery shopping and attending medical appointments.

We can provide live-in respite care on a long- or short-term basis or offer support for those recovering from an illness or operation to help prevent hospital re-admissions. We can also provide specialist care for those living with dementia or other complex conditions.

Q: How can customer’s fund the care they need?

A: We know it can be stressful working out how you will pay for care, but we can offer advice and guidance to help make it easier. We’ll discuss what finance options are available and point you toward services that may be able to provide financial aid.

Q: What are the next steps I can take to arrange a live-in carer?

A: You can learn more about our range of live-in care options by speaking with a member of our team. We’ll arrange a meeting with you and your loved one to discuss their lifestyle, wants and care needs. We can then advise which live-in care service is best for them.

Your loved one will meet with their assigned carer before a final decision’s made to ensure they are comfortable and get on well. The live-in care service can then start whenever they are ready.

We provide private home care services throughout the UK. We strive to meet the highest quality standards for all customers to help support independent living at home.
