Get the kids out into the open air and celebrate Easter with these fun family trails

• Hever Castle, Hever: 5 to 21 April. Follow a trail in the grounds to win prizes, join in crafts and enter the Easter bonnet competition, www.hevercastle.co.uk.

• Penshurst Place, Penshurst, nr Tonbridge: 5 to 21 April. Join in a trail with a difference - themed around carrier pigeons and their role in the First World War. Make your own carrier pigeon afterwards and do some Easter colouring in, www.penshurstplace.com.

• Bedgebury Pinetum, Goudhurst: 8 to 11 April: Families can learn about local wildlife in this trail through the woods, ending with a nest-making craft activity and chocolate prize, www.bedgeburypinetum.org.uk.
