From ice skating to cake decorating and wandering through festive markets, there are lots of fabulous festive events in Kent this year to get you in the Christmas spirit

- Christmas market (9 Nov)

A fantastic day of Christmas shopping. You'll be able to buy direct from Chapel Down, Marshmallow Heaven, Macknade Fine Foods, Nancy & Betty, Oscar & Bentley's, Lime Tree London and more. Neptune will also be raising money for SANDS charity with a raffle full of treats.

- Midwinter Fair (14 to 16 Nov)

With more than 250 handpicked exhibitors spread throughout a heated tented village, there is something for everyone. Visitors can enjoy browsing luxury gifts for all the family, exquisite Christmas decorations, vintage and contemporary homeware, boutique fashion and jewellery plus a delicious selection of food.

- Skate Tun Wells (15 Nov to 5 Jan 2020)

Calverley Grounds is transformed into a winter destination for stylish skating, festive food and drink, music and the addition of a second new rink, designed for two to four year-old skaters.

- Cake decorating (16 Nov)

If your Christmas cake is gently maturing, your thoughts will be turning as to how you will decorate and present it. Maddie Allen, of Mama Feelgoods, will be hosting a two-hour Christmas cake decorating demo in the Neptune kitchen. Following the workshop, you'll leave full of inspiration for your own cake, and a Neptune goody bag.

- Candle making (20 and 21 Nov)

Join Maeve from Fireside Candles for an evening of festive candle craft. She will demonstrate the art of candle making and share her secrets on how to create and blend scents. In this practical workshop, participants will be able to make their own candle to take home.

- On the Home Front (23 and 24 Nov)

Re-live the festive season as it was in the 1940s through the wartime events that brought our nation together. There will be 'make do and mend' lessons, drill displays by the Home Guard, a 1940's school lesson, shops from the era and a rehabilitation centre for injured RAF pilots.
