TV stars descended on Tunbridge Wells for a spectacular Showtime Dinner Dance in aid of Kent children’s hospice charity chYps. Compère weather girl Kaddy Lee-Preston welcomed fellow stars on the Salomons stage as more than 130 people dined, danced and pledged donations for Kent Life’s charity of the Year. Among the guests were Patron Cheryl Fergison and fellow EastEnders star Tony Discipline who played soap heartthrob Tyler Moon. All enjoyed performances by award-winning baritone Matthew Crane, The Voice finalist Jamie Johnson and 90’s star Angie Brown, famous for her hit single I’m Gonna Get You. Around £11,000 was raised through ticket sales, raffle and auction which will enable chYps to provide vital end-of-life, cancer and respite care to seriously ill babies, children and young people in the privacy of their own homes. Thanks to Berkeley Homes Eastern Counties Ltd for sponsoring the event and all who donated prizes, www.chyps.org
