The Kent Young Chef Award 2011: the cookery competition for Kent senior school students in year groups 7-11

There is still time to enter the Kent Young Chef Award 2011, the cookery competition for Kent senior school students in year groups 7-11, but youll need to submit your main course recipe by 28 October to be in with a chance of taking part in the live final on 25 November at new venue, K College in Tonbridge.

The brainchild of Produced in Kent, the award aims to encourage secondary school children back into the kitchen by creating an original main course recipe, using seasonal and local ingredients.

Eight finalists will take part in the live final and cook in front of Kent celebrity chef Richard Phillips.

To enter, go to the Produced in Kent website to download the official entry form and email your recipe to: by 28 October.
