THE"QUALITY"SANDWICH"HAS"COME"HOME

Its ridiculous but true.

For many years it has been impossible to buy a quality sandwich in the town of Sandwich in Kent. The Fourth Earl of Sandwich who inspired this essential item tasty, nutritious and convenient must have been turning in his grave.

But now, all thats changed. The historic food emporium ROSES"FINE"FOODS has opened its doors in the town offering not only artisan foodstuffs and the freshest local commodities Kent can provide, but also a delicious range of fresh sandwiches soups and salads individually made-to-order by expert staff.

We hope the noble Earl can now rest in peace.

And the premises are just as delectable as the edibles. ROSES"FINE"FOODS, is a real old-fashioned grocers shop created in the 1880s and lovingly tended by three generations of the Rose family. Miraculously, its mahogany shelving, marble counters and glistening wall tiles have been preserved. It is one of only half a dozen emporiums of its kind in the UK and has been listed by English Heritage.

Roses has been set up with a personalized service in mind. A bespoke service is available that will take your request for quality and hard-to-find specialist items and have them in the shop a few days later. Sandwich platters and entertainment requirements are deliciously catered for and hampers are individually assembled to suit our customers tastes.

Its all a far cry from the pre-packed and often tasteless fare of the multiples which have been the only local alternative for so long.
