We reveal the Café of the Year 2016

This category has changed a little from last year’s Tea Shop of the Year to include those places that also concentrate on coffee! Tea and coffee shops are an integral part of the Kent food and drink scene. Who makes the best tea and coffees, serves the nicest cakes and biscuits and the freshest scones? Are the sandwiches freshly cut and liberally filled? Most importantly, are most of the ingredients locally sourced?

And the winner is...

Finch House, Tonbridge

Daron Goldfinch. Independently owned café with a menu of home-made fresh food, artisan coffee roasted to its own recipe and in-house baked cakes and brownies (gluten and dairy-free options available). Now has a branch in Orpington. Call 01732 771775 or daron@finchhouse.co.uk
