In partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme, Tilda Rice is launching a new downloadable cookbook filled with favourite family recipes donated by celebrity mums. Launching just before Mother's Day to raise awareness of Tilda's Mums Helping Mums campaign, the free cookbook will be available to download exclusively from www.tilda.com from March 24.
The new cookbook contains more than 35 delicious creations from some of the UK’s most well known parents and grandparents around the country. Recipes include family secrets from much-loved British celebrity mums such as Cerys Mathews’ Potato and Tomato Bhaji, Cheryl Baker’s Fish Shish Kebabs, Gillian McKeith’s Baked Salmon with Spinach and Leeks, and Sue Cleaver’s Chickpea, Date and Pine Nut Pilau.
Tilda’s Mums Helping Mums ambassador, pop singer and television presenter Jamelia has also contributed two of her family’s favourite dishes to the cookbook ensuring there really is a dish to please everyone at home!
To complete the exciting new cookbook, Tilda has also offered up some of its very own easy-to-cook dishes and hand picked a selection of delicious additions from some of the country’s top mummy bloggers.
To date, Tilda has donated more than 1 million nutrition-boosting meals to expectant mums and is hoping to drive further awareness for the campaign working with the World Food Programme and donate even more this year!
One Pack = One Meal
For each specially marked 1kg pack of Pure Basmati sold, Tilda will provide one nutritious meal to a new or expectant mum in the developing world. All you have to do is look out for the silver label and World Food Programme logo on packs of Tilda Pure Basmati, which will be available in stores from the beginning of March to April 2014.
Low birth weight can seriously affect a baby’s physical and cognitive development, so it is essential that mums receive vital nutrition from the beginning of their pregnancy. Through the World Food Programme, Tilda’s ‘Mums Helping Mums’ campaign helps mums give their children a better start in life. Together WE ARE making a difference!
