Hollywood boosts Kent tourism

The opportunity to introduce Kent’s wonderful heritage to even more people was welcomed by Kent Tourism Alliance chairman, Amanda Cottrell, speaking at a special reception held at Knole ahead of a preview showing of Hollywood movie, The Other Boleyn Girl.

Filmed largely in Kent, with Knole itself playing a starring role, alongside Penshurst Place and Dover Castle, guests later had the opportunity to watch the film at nearby Kino Sevenoaks.

Knole property manager, Steven Dedman, gave guests a tour of areas used in the film, which stars A-listers Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johanssen, who did all their own riding in dramatic scenes which took place in the deer park.

Tourism is already worth £2bn to Kent and KTA believes this latest and global exposure will give it an even greater boost.
