1.Tell me about yourself?

I just turned 18 and I’m from Maidstone. I attended Allington Primary before I moved away from the area to the coast. I lived in Maidstone until I was about six and then moved back due to the constant travelling and easy access to airports about five years ago. My grandparents and most of my family live there and although I spend little time in the UK, that’s where I base myself at the moment.

2. What are you doing now?

At the moment I am in Brazil, having just finished the World Championships where I won for the third year running. Right now I am going to stay here a bit longer so I can practice and get ready for next season.

3. What are your ambitions for the future?

To be the World Champion was my dream since I first started in the sport, for it to happen once was a dream come true, for it to happen three times is an achievement I didn’t think would ever possibility happen. Throughout the last three years I have gained a lot of experience and I hope with that I can keep the title for at least two more years. That is my goal.

4. What’s the best thing about coming back to Kent?

After being away for months at a time it is great to come back home to see the family, just to see how proud everyone is, that’s a great feeling. I enjoy the few days I get at home, it is nice to chill out, relax and just be back.

5. What’s your idea of a perfect day?

I think the perfect day is to wake up to my perfect Kitesurf conditions out side my bedroom window, have a good breakfast and then go out kiting with some good friends. With the warm waters it is possible to land your kite and take a break before you go and hit the water again, so throughout the day you can come in or go out as you please. In the evening it is cool to just chill out, have a nice dinner and go to the movies to get away from everything and end the day nicely.

6. What are your hobbies and interests?

At the moment kitesurfing is pretty full on for me, I don’t get that much time for other things. When I do, I enjoy surfing or BMX and other than that I like to use my time to chill out and do something totally different to my normal life.

7. What was the last book you read?

Macromedia Flash Professional 8, I think computer-based work is a good quality gain.
