Everyone wants their own little bit of Tunbridge Wells, whether they admit it or not. With a huge variety of architecture to choose from there’s a style and a period to suit every taste, but you can’t go wrong with this traditional town house, set within the desirable TN1 postcode.

Situated on the edge of the prosperous village area, Cumberland Villa is a Grade II listed town house, and just a short walk from the historic Pantiles, the High Street and at least 20 watering holes.

Arranged across three floors, the house is approached by a series of steps up to a covered porch. An entrance hall greets you, with the rest of the ground floor being made up of a drawing room, sitting room, kitchen and dining room. A marble fireplace with gothic display units to the side lends the sitting room a sense of occasion, and the kitchen is kitted out with bespoke wall-mounted units and lighting.

On the lower ground floor, the utility and boiler rooms are flanked by a family room and a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.

Upstairs, three further bedrooms spread over the top floor, each with period fireplaces and views across the town. Attached to the master suite is a decadent marble-clad bathroom, with his and hers basins, an oak floor and a double shower.

Outside, you’ll want to keep the kids out of the attractive ornamental front garden, but the rear garden incorporates a mix of lawn, terrace and wooden decking; perfect for those long summer evenings.
