1. Music@Malling, West Malling (21st to 30th September)

Now in its seventh year, 24 events will take place in and around West Malling, including contemporary, classical, jazz and folk music. Tickets £10 to £20

2. Open Air Cinema - Back to the Future, The Spa Hotel, Tunbridge Wells (Friday 22nd September)

Held in the grounds of The Spa Hotel in Tunbridge Wells this Friday will be an open air cinema showing the 80s classic Back to the Future. There will be a bar selling hot food and drinks from 5.30pm with the film beginning at 7.30pm. Book tickets online now - hurry!

3. Sevenoaks Literary Festival 2017, Sevenoaks (22nd September to 7th October)

This year marks 15 years since the festival began in 2002 and will include a mix of authors, historians and local talents. Expect talks by the likes of professor David Crystal, Gloria Hunniford, Patricia Lovett, Alan Johnson and many more! Check the website for individually priced talks and events

4. Sandwich Arts Week, various locations (16th to 23rd September)

A week-long exhibition of more than 40 local artists in St Peter’s church and various locations around the Town Trail. Click here for the programme of events

5. War Horse, Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury (15th September to 14th October)

“An unforgettable theatrical event”, based on Michael Morpurgo’s beloved novel. There will be life sized horses made by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company as a feature of this epic wartime tale. Visit the website for tickets
