A theme of ‘Kent Gardens’ attracted a bumper crop of entries from talented photographers in the county - meet our winners
Over the past few months we have been bringing you different views of Riverhill Himalayan Gardens and inviting you to enter the Kent Gardens Photography Competition created by Kent Life and Riverhill.
The winning photographs in the adult and junior categories, which were judged from a very strong field by Riverhill owner Sarah Rogers, Kent Life chief photographer Manu Palomeque and editor Sarah Sturt, are shown here.
Adult winner Suzy Immer is a keen amateur photographer who lives in Plaxtol with her husband and two young sons. She has taken pictures ever since she was a child and studied photography as part of her GCSE Art, but this is the first photography competition she has ever entered.
Suzy is so keen to progress her skills that when the family was living in Belgium just before moving to Kent, she would save all the money she made from baking cakes from home and put it towards new camera equipment.
Now she has the opportunity to learn even more when she joins Manu Palomeque for a one-to-one photography tuition session at Riverhill Himalayan Gardens, where she will be a frequent visitor now as her prize included an annual pass. w
